In my opinion Kendrick Lamar created To Pimp A Buttery to lift a heavy burden off his heart. One end was the contractual obligations of being under a record label. The other a spiritual obligation of his heart to preach the reality 2015. Both in his own life and the world around him
Masterfully he achieved this. Never has an artist so close to my age moved me in such a dramatic way. To me hip hop is the art form; mastered by only those who are willing to risk it all preaching reality of the world around them.
